Independent Living in Fort Collins, CO
When you walk in to our lobby at The Worthington, you might just have an instant warm, welcome feeling of home. There will likely be cheering and laughter coming from the gamers nearby in the activity room. From the atrium up above you can hear the friendly chatter of our dining room while savory smells of what's cooking on the grill are wafting about.
Waking up and having coffee and breakfast with neighbors is a great way to start the morning. Each day you can choose to have lunch or dinner in our beautiful dining room while enjoying the sky-lit chandelier and grand windows.
The Worthington is tucked away in a quiet corner with luscious trees, yet still within reach of recreation and entertainment in the city. Each floorplan has its own patio and plenty of windows with views of our beautiful Colorado skies.
We love to go on trips to the hills or just an adventure on the town. You can stay fit with us in exercise classes or just hop on our Nu-Step and work out at your own pace.
We are known to laugh and have fun here - and when you need us we'll be a pillar to lean on and an avenue to enhancing your lifestyle with supports in our community. At The Worthington, we are proud to be a part of the Columbine Family!
"Thank you so much for everything! You know exactly how to respond to mom - when to listen, when to be caring and when she needed a hug..." -Family of a 17-year Resident
I don't know what kind of magic pixie dust you sprinkle in the food at The Worthington, but we couldn't be happier with the life we are seeing my Mom live. She has never, EVER been a joiner. She has always self-isolated (even when younger) to the point that we had trouble getting her to come to our house for a holiday meal or to go out to lunch. Also, over the last few years Mom had become very dependent on me for making decisions and appointments for her, because she got confused easily and felt overwhelmed.
NOW this wonderful woman is making her own doctor and hairdresser appointments (and travel arrangements). She has navigated the laundry system independently. She is playing games like corn hole and group crossword. She has accepted invitations to go play dominoes in a neighbor's apartment. And today Mom tells me she is heading off to try WII bowling. What?????
We are dumbfounded and delighted beyond belief. The turn-around we have seen in her speaks volumes about your staff, your residents, and your programming. Please pass along our thanks to everyone
